Post-processing overview

The GUI features powerful post-processing features that allows to extract a number of results from your various simulations, but also provides graphical facilities to help you visualizing your system. Post-processing may be split as follows :

  • Animation player: this is the default view that displays when you open a Simulation results file (.DSS). The animation player allows to visualize what happened during your simulation, through the 3D View window. See more details...

  • Post-processing main window: the post-processing main window displays as you click the post-treatment button from the tool-bar placed at the top of the GUI. This window consists in a number of tabs from which you can define and visualize your post-processing requests. Once extracted from the binary results file, each request is presented as a curve plot. Note

This window looks slightly different depending on you access it through a .DSK or a .DSS file. When opened through a .DSK file, in addition to the classical tabs, you will also access a number of options in the left side of the window. These options allow to access any Simulation results file attached with the .DSK file, and also enable to switch from the main window to the Animation player.
