Spectral Curves Post-Processing
The spectral curves post-processing module allows to derive response spectrum and RMS values from time-domain simulations. You may either generate :
-
Response spectrum of any local variable: this provides the spectrum of any variable calculated from associated time-history. For instance you may get the spectrum of the top tension for any riser.
-
RMS value of any extended variable: this provides the RMS value of any variable specified minimum and maximum times. For instance you may get the RMS value of tension along any riser.
Note
the response spectrum and RMS values are built from spectral analysis of time-history of the requested variable. The algorithms used to this purpose are based on the Direct Fourier Transform when regular waves are present in the analysis and on the cross-spectrum algorithm with irregular waves.
