Settings Menu
-
Units: Use this item to select the units system you want to work with in the GUI. Both Metric and US unit systems are available by default. In additions, you may define any type of user-defined units systems through the Units System wizard.
-
Global settings: Allows to specify path to the solver, the fatigue curve files (S-N or T-N Fatigue curves) or the .DPL file containing flexible pipe properties library. This library file can be used to store and share standard sets of flexible pipe properties. These properties may then be downloaded by using the Import line type data from library* menu item available from the Model menu. HDF5 save option and dss optimized mode can also be set from the Global settings menu item. The Miscellaneous sheet allows the removal of uncompressed HDF5 files, a selection of optimized mode for dss loading or enabling memory map to read files. The CUR_PATH value can also be selected.
-
Specific working directory: Allows to define working directory. Path to files can then be defined relative to this working directory.
-
DNV Checks: Allows to define user-defined values for parameters used within post-processing for DNV code verification.
-
Light properties: Adjusts light properties as well as the background, compass and scale colors. Transparency value (for floaters only) can also be customized.
-
Use optimized post-processing for frequency analysis: This option allows to activate post-processing optimization for dynamic analyses carried out in the Frequency Domain (FD). When this option is used, RAOs are estimated from direct outputs of the frequency domain analyses rather than building preliminary resulting time domain responses and extracting RAOs from these.
