Menus

The upper part of the interface comprises a Menu Bar that helps managing the model using the main available commands. The following menus are available:

  • The File menu displays opening and saving commands, and shortcuts to access files that were recently opened. The Save As command can be used to specify the name of the model file and also save the model file under the format required for an earlier Version of the GUI.

  • The Edit menu has commands for copy/paste of existing model components.

  • The View menu allows arranging the display of the tool bars.

  • The Model menu has commands to add new components in the model and also gives access to Line Segment properties library through the Manage Properties item.

  • The Analysis menu has commands to create new Analyses and Analyses Sets in the model. It also gives access to the Launch Analysis form.

  • The Tools menu gives access to external tools including the Windows calculator, the Batch Processing form, and the Clearance Check form. It also gives allows checking the status (e.g. completed or failed) of all analyses included in the model through the Check Analyses Status tool.

  • The Settings menu has command to modify general software settings, including light properties used for displaying the components in the 3D View Window, and link to the FE engine file.

  • The Window menu provides control of the windows displayed in the GUI. Multiple windows can for instance be tiled using this menu. It also gives access to additional 2D views in the 3D View Window.

  • The Help menu leads to Help documentation that is available. It also gives information about the software version in use through the About item.
