Overview
DeepLines features an intuitive graphical interface which allows efficient model creation and simple management of multiple analyses, with minimal training. The interface can be divided in several parts, as follows:
-
Window caption: The window caption shows the current program version and the name of the file. Model files may be ended with a "*" character to indicate the latest changes made to the model have not been saved yet in the model file.
-
Menu Bar : In the upper part of the interface, a traditional Menu Bar contains many of the available DeepLines commands.
-
Tool Bar : In the upper part of the interface, in addition to the windows classical features (e.g. file open, save, etc.), buttons with DeepLines custom icons are available which provide quick access to model all types of elements and control and run analyses. These tool bars can be docked below the menu bar, switched on and off via the View menu item, and can be positioned anywhere on your screen by picking up the handle on the left hand side or the local title bar with the mouse.
-
Model browser : On the left side of the interface, the model browser lists all the model components used in the model in a collapsible tree structure. At the top of the model browser tree this is a pull-down control (normally showing 'All') which allows you to quickly select the model items associated with a specific analysis.
-
3D View window : In the central part, the main window, with a visual three dimensional representation of the entire model, main reference frame and compass.
-
Post-processing window : The post-processing window can be opened through the Post treatment button on the Tool Bar. Static and Dynamic results can be extracted from the simulations, along with advanced post-processing such as RAO generation, clash checking, fatigue statistics etc.
