Single analysis

You may define a new individual analysis either by using the New analysis button from the tool bar, or by right-clicking either the Analysis Sets folder or any Analysis Set name and further select New analysis in the pop-up menu that displays - as illustrated below.

Right-click the Analysis Sets folder from the Model browser... ... or any folder associated with an Analysis Set (for example the analyses set named Default).

At this stage, a new analysis has been created and appears in the Model browser. The first analysis created in your model will be given the default name 'Analysis_1'. You may change the name by right-clicking the name of your analysis in the Model browser and then selecting the Rename option from the pop-up menu displayed.

Each analysis consists in the following items :

  • List of objects selected from the whole set of objects available within your Model file (.DSK).

  • Calculation parameters: these parameters are used to define the type of analysis and specify a number of numerical parameters for the solver. More details...

  • Predefined results: these are optional post-processing requests. More details...

The list of objects that will be included in your analysis may be selected from the complete set of objects available in the model by editing the analysis. To do so, double-click the analysis in the Model browser and select which objects you want to be included, using the Editing analysis dialog shown below.
