Analysis Sets - General Data
The General tab includes the following items:
-
Select type of Analysis Set: this defines the type of Analysis Set. You may select either of the following options:
- Use similar model components in the analyses: This instructs the software to build series of individual analyses based on similar structural model components (e.g. Floaters, Lines, Rigid Bodies, Buoys, etc). Then you are presented with a single list of model components to select via check boxes. The individual analyses will then be based on common set of model components that will be shared by the analyses. Selecting this options requires that you further select series of environmental conditions that will be associated with each analysis. The number of analyses included in the Analysis Set is set similar to the number of environmental conditions that are associated with the Analysis Set.
Note
This type of Analysis Set allows performing series of analyses featuring common components to which a certain environmental load case matrix is applied. Extraction of results can then be based on similar post-processing instructions, which will generate results for every analyses along the same format. This eventually allows exporting results statistics for all analyses in a single Excel file.
-
Use different model components in the analyses: This instructs the software to build series of analyses based on different structural components and environmental components. The number of analyses included in the Analysis Set can be set to any value you like.
Note
This type of Analysis Set is similar to the Default analysis set.
-
Select Environment: this defines the list of environmental conditions that are to considered when building the individual analyses included in the Analysis Set. This option is only applicable in case the Analysis Set is based similar components. Available environmental conditions include Wave Sets and Environment Sets. Select either the Wave Set of Environment Set option and select the desired item along the list displayed in the data box.
-
Options: Activating this option instructs the software not to refresh the content of the Model Browser while the individual analyses included in the Analysis Set are being generated. The content of the Model Browser is then refreshed once all analyses are created. Activating this option allows saving runtime in case the Analysis Set includes many individual analyses.
