Pulleys

The pulley is a simple element that allows you to model the transfer of forces via a cable and a pulley system. Pulleys are defined with two end nodes and one master node, each of which may be connected to any other component in the model.

Each pulley is characterized by a number of data items, which can be split as follows.

  • General data: to specify the name of your pulley and the coordinates of the three nodes defining the pulley.

  • Drawing: to define the geometrical parameters used to display the pulley in the 3D view window.

  • Properties: to define all the pulley properties.

More details on the pulley elements can be found in the Theory section.
