Internal content variation

The Internal content variation sheet defines the default unsteady (i.e. variable function of quasi-static step or time) internal fluid density, pressure and temperature profiles data.

You may define the internal content variation data applicable to the line by doing either of the following:

  • Select "Do not consider any internal content variation": No internal content variation is considered in this case. Only the steady internal fluid data defined in the Internal fluid sheet will apply.

  • Select "Use internal content variation defined in the table below": This defines internal content variation data directly in the Internal content variation data sheet. Data to be input are similar to those of the Internal content variation type. Refer to the Internal content variation type for details on the data.

  • Select "Use internal content variation data defined in external property": This assigns an existing Internal content variation type to the line. In this case, a selection box allowing you to choose the Internal content variation type name from the available items is presented instead of the edit boxes and table for property values.

    Note

The internal content variation type must exist before you can choose this option. If none exist, a message appears giving you the option to create one now.

!note

The internal content variation defined in this sheet sets the
default internal content variation that is associated with the line. The
default internal content variation may be overwritten by any other existing
internal content variation type by specifying so in the Calculation
parameters. This allows conveniently running multiple analyses with the same
line while changing the internal content variation.
