Associated displacement
BOP Stack components always come with an associated displacement which serves to simulate the rotation of the flexjoint. The displacement is automatically predefined by the GUI when a new BOP Stack component is created.
The displacement is applied at the flexjoint center of rotation and includes two sub-displacements : rotation about the X-axis and rotation about the Y-axis.
Both rotations are incremental and associated with a user defined quasi-static evolution in 16 steps so that the flexjoint describes a circle as illustrated below : the displacement ratio is defined with the cosine function for rotation about X and with the sine function for rotation about Y.
The amplitude of the rotation is set to 10 degrees by default. This value can be changed once the BOP Stack component is generated.
