Arch guides and hanging points

The arch connections property tab enables you to define two types of connection on the arch:

Guides: guides define where the flexible lines are constrained. You can define as many guides as you want, each one being characterized by its transversal position with respect to the geometrical center of the arch. Each new guide is created by selecting the Add new guide button. A guide can be erased by selecting the Remove selected guide button.

Hanging point: to connect the tethers of the arch. Each hanging point is defined by its horizontal, transversal and vertical position with respect to the geometrical center of the arch.

Note

  • The lines are continuous when passing over the arch.

  • The GUI systematically checks that cables or bars elements are actually connected to the different fairlead points. Otherwise a warning message displays.
