Purpose :

To define trench for a pipe in contact with a surface

Details : IT trench reference number

Parameter	Description
H	trench depth (m)
L	trench bottom width (m)
YPMAX	position of the maximal lateral force (m)
YR	End of the trench (m)
RMAX	maximum lateral resistance force (N/m)
EPS	numerical parameter to smooth the slope

These values are shown in the next graph

Note

if H=0, only the effect of the trench transverse to the surface is taken into account. If H/=0, the surface description is modified as shown in the first graph. The reference position for the trench is given by the static equilibrium of the pipe at step 0.

Note

The trench reference number is used by *TYPCONTACT to indicate that the contact has to take into account the trench. The contact must be of type pipe/surface
