Status :
Optional
Restriction :
Blades groups must be defined as well as the reference node for the rotor.
Purpose :
To define a rotor for a turbine. The information will be used by the aerodynamic solver if any. Also specific treatment is performed by the mechanical solver since all elements encompassed by the keyword are potentially undergoing large rotations.
Details :
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
INOD | Rotor node & rotor ID |
ITYP | 0 for HWAT and 1 for VWAT |
NBLAD | number of blades |
NSTRUT | number of lines (group) linked to a blade (usually for VAWT turbines) |
IRODIR | 0 for rclockwise rotation, 1 for anti-clockwise rotation |
ISPEED | 0 for constant, 1 for variable not used in the prototype version |
CUTI | cut-in wind speed not used in this version |
CUTO | cut-out wind speed not used in this version |
IPOS | 0 for upwind position, 1 for downwind |
ISHAFT | ID number of the LS shaft group (0 if none) |
NRIG | Number of Rigid Bodies per blade |
NB_i | ith blade |
IDL_j_i | jth strut of the ith blade |
IDRIG_j_i | jth rigibody of the ith blade |
The blade numbering depends on the order of the blade ID list.
