Purpose :

To define a ramp time for the application of wave forces during a dynamic simulation

Description

RAMPT

Time during which the wave effects (surface elevation, water particle velocities and accelerations) are multiplied by a 5th order polynomial factor based on time/RAMPT. This factor allows a smooth application of the external forces and facilitates the starting sequence of the time integration. Default value = maximum period among the periods of the imposed motions, imposed loads and the period corresponding to the mean frequency of the wave (regular or irregular).
