*LIFTOPTION
Data format:
A single line comprising 2 parameters followed by an arbitrary number of parameters, as follows:
IOPTION CLIFT_DEF ITAB IGR(1) IGR(2) ... IGR(N)
Status :
Optional
Restriction :
Groups of elements IG(1), IGR(2), ... IGR(N) must have been previously defined.
Purpose :
To specify calculation settings for lift forces along groups of elements. The lift force may be activated as soon as the elements modelling the pipe are in contact with a surface and are cancelled as the pipe is being lifted off the surface.
Details:
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
IOPTION | =2: the lift force is automatically calculated for every elements of the groups when in contact with a surface. |
CLIFT_DEF | Value of the lift coefficient used to compute the lift force if not otherwise defined in BEAMPRO2, CABPRO or *BARPRO. |
ITAB | Table ID number, a table with two columns must have been previously defined (with *TABLEMCOL). The table provide a multiplication factor on the lift as a function of embedment over diameter. Note: If ITAB=0, the multiplication factor goes from 1 if no embedment to 0 for a one diameter embedment. Note: The table provides multiplication factor (line 1) versus ratio (line 2). The ratio are in increasing order. Negative ratio indicates that the pipe is above ground. |
IGR(1) ... IGR(N) | List of groups to apply the lift force. If a - is used, all groups number between the two numbers (and including the two numbers) are considered. If group 0 is entered, all groups (RISER, MOORLINE, CASING, BUOY, *BLADE) are automatically added to the list. |
