Data format:
An arbitrary number of lines comprising 4 values.
NODE ROW COL INERTIA IOACC |
Status :
Optional
Purpose :
To define linear inertia forces and moments applied to a node based on its local axes system.
Restriction :
A NODE must have been previously defined.
Details :
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
NODE | Node to which the inertia matrix is applied. |
ROW | Row identification of the matrix |
COL | Column identification of the matrix |
INERTIA | Inertia value are stored in (ROW,COL). Units of the D(6x6) inertia matrix terms are as follows: Aij with i=1,3; j=1,3 : kg Aij with i=1,3; j=4,6 : kg.m/rad Aij with i=4,6; j=1,3 : kg.m Aij with i=4,6; j=4,6 : kg.m2/rad |
IOACC | By default the inertia force/moment is computed based on the acceleration of the structure. A second option is available. IOACC= 0 (Default) : acceleration of the structure is used IOACC = 1 : the translational acceleration is based on acceleration of the structure minus wave particle acceleration (rotational acceleration unchanged) |
Note
if ROW is not equal to COL, the value is entered at both (ROW,COL) and (COL,ROW) since the matrix is symmetric.
