Data format:
A single line comprising 4 values
IFPF IGN IOP IUPD
Status : Optional
Purpose : To define a mesh for a floater to be used to compute the hydrostatic force and location at each step
Restriction : A FPFDX and SURFACE must have been previously defined
Details :
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
IFPF | The master node of the floater |
IGN | Fairlead node used to position the surface defined in mesh.dat |
IOP | The calculation option : - IOP=0: for non-linear hydrostatic wrt Surface Z=0 - IOP=1: for non-linear hydrostatic wrt Wave elevation at COG - IOP=2: non-linear hydrostatic wrt for Wave elevation at each element center, - IOP=3: as 2 but including non-linear Froude-Krylov loads |
IUPD | The update option: - 0 for At each iteration, (Static and Dynamic) - 1 for At each iteration (Static) and Beginning of each time step (Dynamic) - 2 for At each iteration (Static Only) |
Note
-
The recommended option for IOP are IOP=0 (non linear hydrostatic in static, update of the hydrodynamic stiffness to be used for linear calculations in dynamic) and IOP=3 where the incident wave contribution is fully nonlinear in dynamic.
-
When IOP=3, the hydrodynamic database must provide the first order diffraction forces and moments RAOs (see keyword [DETAIL_EXC] of the hydrodaynmic databse file)
