*FIXANG
Data format:
An arbitrary number of lines with 3 parameters each, as follows:
NOE IREF IOP
...
Status:
Optional.
Purpose:
To set the orientation (angles) of a node that is connected to one beam element at least.
Restriction:
If the angle you want to fix is too different from the natural angle of the structure, the program may not converge. In that case, you should use *INCDX to fix this angle with a quasi-static calculation
Details :
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
NOE | Node identification number |
IREF | Reference coordinates system previously defined by BCREFGLO, BCREFLOC or *BCREFPF |
IOP | IOP = 0: Fixang imposed at equilibrium for the section orientation IOP <> 0: Fixang only for post-processing and beam axis |
Note
At the node NOE, the vector normal to the beam section is given by the z-axis of the new reference IREF = 0 defines the global reference
Examples :
*BCREFGLO
1 0. 0. -1. -1. 0. 0. 0. 1. 0.
*FIXANG 3 1
The beam section connected to node 3 is along the Y-axis
