Data format:
One line with 3 parameters, as follows:
IOP TMIN TMAX
Purpose:
To set optional settings used to account for the memory effect.
Restriction :
Only available for dynamic analysis.
Details:
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
IOP | This parameter sets the method that is used to calculate the memory effect. IOP=0: The added mass is integrated from the retardation function. The integration limits in periods are from 10s to 20s by default. Otherwise the user can define the lower and upper bound periods TMIN and TMAX. IOP=1: The added mass is integrated from the retardation function. The integration limits in periods are based on the minimum and maximum periods of the wave spectra. IOP=2: The added mass is the value at the smallest period in the hydrodynamic database. This is similar to the calculation method used in DeepLines version 4.5.7 and earlier versions. |
TMIN | Lower bound period in seconds that is considered within the integration of the retardation function. This parameter is to be specified when IOP = 0. |
TMAX | Upper bound period in seconds that is considered within the integration of the retardation function. This parameter is to be specified when IOP = 0. |
Note
The keyword is used in combination with retardation function, the value entered for time integration (parameter NDTMEMORY of *WFOPTION) is not the number of timesteps but the time in seconds.
