*EFFMEMORY, NAME=FloaterName
Data format:
One line with a single parameter, as follows:
FILENAME
Status:
Optional.
Restrictions:
Similar retardation function for the same floater must have been calculated previously with the same time step.
Purpose:
To define the retardation function applicable for WF+LF calculated floater motion through an external file. Using this option avoids recalculating the retardation function several times within series of coupled analyses.
Details :
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
FILENAME | Path and external filename for the file containing the results from a previous calculation of the retardation function for the structure named Floatername. |
Example:
*EFFMEMORY, NAME=CALM
..\eff_memo_002.txt
Instead of being recalculated at the start of the dynamic simulation, the retardation function for the floater named CALM will be read from the file names "eff_memo_002.txt" that is placed in the current directory (same directory than the LOG file).
