Data format:
An arbitrary number of cards with 9 parameters each, as follows:
IPRO LENGTH MASS D CD CM CDL CML ES O1 O2 O3 O4 O5 CL
...
Status:
Mandatory when cable elements are used
Purpose:
To define mechanical and geometrical properties of a set of cable elements
Restriction:
The total number of cable element properties sets is limited to MAXPRO (version dependent)
Details :
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
IPRO | Identification number of the following set of properties |
LENGTH | Initial length of the cable element under zero tension and temperature |
MASS | Mass per unit length of cable |
D | Diameter Note: D is the outer diameter used for buoyancy and hydrodynamic forces calculation. |
CD | Morison normal drag coefficient |
CM | Morison normal inertia coefficient |
CDL | Morison axial drag coefficient |
CML | Morison axial inertia coefficient |
ES | obsolete parameter |
O1 | obsolete parameter |
O2 | obsolete parameter |
O3 | obsolete parameter |
O4 | obsolete parameter |
O5 | obsolete parameter |
CL | Lift coefficient (to be used in conjunction with *LIFTOPTION |
