How to run series of simulations
Unless you intend to run a limited number of simulations, it is not recommended that you use the interactive execution mode. This execution model is useful when for punctual analyses checks and model optimization at the early stages of your dynamic analysis project.
Series of simulations may be easily handled in batch mode with the Batch Processing tool. This tool is designed to enhance your productivity as it allows multi-threaded execution of analysis and results post- processing tasks. Any batch job is defined through a job input file and a job type. Input files for the FE engine (LOG files) and post-processing files (DSS files) must be created before you are actually able to run any task with the Batch Processing tool.
Create the input files for the FE engine by right-clicking the Analysis Set and selecting the "Generate LOG and DSS files" item in the pop-up menu. These files can then be input in the Batch Processing tool dialog and are then ready to be handled.
