Analyses setup
Several analyses may be included in the same model. Each analysis is defined through selected model components that are picked up from the model components available in your model, and calculation parameters.
Analyses types include static, quasi-static, dynamic analysis in the time- domain, dynamic analysis in the frequency-domain, and modal analyses. The type of analysis is to be selected among these depending on what you want to simulate.
Analyses are grouped into Analysis Sets and show in the Model Browser in the Analyses folder. Analysis Sets are groups of individual analyses that may be conveniently setup in the user interface. Analysis Sets may contain as many analyses as you wish.
Analyses may either be stored in the Default Analysis set or stored into Analysis Sets that you specify. The Default Analysis Set is generally used to perform a limited number of simulations, such as static and preliminary dynamic checks.
You may define a new individual analysis either by using the New analysis button from the tool bar, or by right- clicking either the Analysis Sets folder or any Analysis Set name and further select New analysis in the pop-up menu that displays
Analysis Sets may be added in your model either by clicking the New Analysis Set button in the upper controls bar, or by right-clicking the folder named Analysis Sets in the Model Browser and further selecting the New Analysis Set item in the pop-up menu.
