Help system
To get help on a particular item within DeepLines:
-
You can open the on-line help and search for a topic manually.
-
The software is released with a complete set of documents which describe its features, theory and discuss on commented examples.
Technical support
Principia understands the engineer's need to produce efficient, economical, and expeditious designs. To that end, Principia has a staff of helpful professionals ready to address any DeepLines issues raised by users. DeepLines support is available by telephone and e-mail. Principia provides this service at no additional charge to the user. It is expected, however, that questions focus on the current version of the program.
You can send your request to deeplines@principia.fr with your detailed question or problem. Attach any input file available that can help us understand your difficulty which will allow us to respond quickly to your request.
You can also call us at Principia at the following number: +33 (0) 442 08 11 80
Training courses
Formal training in DeepLines, riser and mooring analysis is also available from Principia. Principia schedules regular training classes and provides in- house and open attendance training around the world. These courses focus on the expertise available at Principia modeling, analysis, and design. Typical training courses that are delivered include the following sessions:
-
Dynamic Analysis: This training course aims at introducing engineers to DeepLines and dynamic analyses techniques. This course is mainly intended for beginners and engineers wishing to improve their knowledge of the software and maximize their productivity.
-
Fatigue Analysis and VIV Analysis: This training course aims at introducing engineers to fatigue and vortex induced vibrations analyses. The objective of the course is to provide the theoretical background required to properly carry out such engineering studies and illustrate how these analyses can be performed with DeepLines.
-
Coupled Analysis of Moored Systems: This training course aims at introducing engineers to coupled analyses of moored offshore systems including risers, mooring legs and floating supports such as CALM buoys.
-
Installation and Pipelines Analysis: This training course aims at introducing engineers to installation analysis and pipelines modeling, including pipeline on-bottom roughness analysis, lateral buckling and pipe walking.
-
Wind Turbine analysis: This training course aims at presenting how to model a wind turbine in a model and goes onto presenting coupled models for floating wind turbines.
